Headaches & migraine
Understanding headaches. Finding a way forward.
Understanding the condition
Migraine is a neurological condition that can cause recurring headaches, nausea and sensitivity to light or sound. Not every headache is a migraine.
Common signs and symptoms
- Recurring or disabling headaches
- Nausea, light sensitivity or visual symptoms around a headache
What an assessment may involve
A consultation may explore your headache pattern, triggers, medicine use and neurological examination. Keeping a headache diary can help the discussion.
When to seek help
Arrange an assessment for recurring headaches or a changing pattern. A sudden, very severe headache or headache with weakness, fever or confusion needs urgent attention.
